OK, I am trying to organise a Members/Fisho's Promotion Day here at St Georges Basin, NSW.
This is the draft layout for the comp and I felt it only right to ask for your input so as to see the issues associated from other points of views.
If you think that a certain aspect can be arranged better please feel free to post a comment.
As I create the associated documents such as a Damage and Injury Disclaimer etc. I will also post them here to ensure that you have the same input to those section as well. This allows you the members to some form of 'Ownership' of the event and thereby ensure the success for all involved.
**The WRF Fishing Competition 2012**
VENUE: Palm Beach Reserve, Sanctuary Point, NSW 2540
DATE: TBA
TIMES: 7am to 11.30am [Off the water by 12.30pm]
JUDGES: TBA
The comp is divided into 2 sections both of which will be judged in their own class. The sections include:
AGE
1. Junior Angler [5years - 12year]
2. Teenage Angler [13 - 18]
3. Adult Angler [Note: no sexual separations, an Angler may be male or female]
ANGLER TYPE:
1. Best Boat Catch
2. Best Kayak Catch
3. Best Land Based Catch
ENTRY FEES
AGE
Juniors $5
Adults $10
ANGLER TYPE
Best Boat Catch $10
Best Kayak Catch $10
Best Land Based $10
NOTE: Entrants may enter both the Age and Type comps, but must pay the corresponding fees
WRF Competition 2012 Agenda:
* Muster, entrants must be registered and ready to fish by 7am
* Lines Out by 11am
* Judging commences 11.30am
* Prizes presented following receipt of entries has closed at 12.30pm
* Presentations of winners for Group Photographs.
The WRF Fishing Team practice C.P.R [Catch, Photograph, and Release] to ensure the continued development of local fish stocks.
If you wish to keep your fish please tell the judges prior to weighing in your catch.
All other fish must be returned to the water in good condition.
NOTE:
- Time & Dated Photographs of the fish on a recognised measuring surface MUST be produced to claim merit for those fish CPR whilst on the water.
- While this event is not for profit, an entry fee of $5 for Junior Anglers and a $10 entry fee for Teens to Adults are to be paid prior to commencing fishing; any fish presented without the entry fee voucher will not be accepted into the weigh in.
- The Judges have the final decision on winning catches and no correspondence will be entered into following the announcements of section winners.
- ALL entrants must sign a 'Disclaimer of Care' granting WRF and the WRF Team freedom from litigation in the event of accidents or damage whilst attending or taking part in, the WRF Fishing Competition 2012
Though fees are charged for entries etc. to the day, this is a not for profit event day. The monies collected will be used to cover organising costs and site costs with the balance being donated to a local charity house [TBA]
